Schools: CAP Money
Specifically tailored for schools, CAP Money has been developed with teachers to equip the next generation with essential skills to ensure they are wise about money in the future.
We offer CAP Money sessions as either a 1 day course or 2 shorter workshops. We have different programmes suitable for: KS1 (Year 1 pupils), Upper KS2 (Year 5/6 pupils), and KS4 (Year 10/11 pupils). For all ages, CAP Money sessions get pupils thinking about the importance of money and to introduce them to the concept of budgeting. The course is designed to meet the curriculum’s requirements in a fun, engaging way. Sessions cover topics such as budgeting, saving, and spending, which are all taught through interactive stories, games, and real life situations. It also touches on numeracy, PSHE, and life skills, as well as developing teamwork and problem solving skills.
The hope is to sow some seeds in children’s minds at an early age about:
– how money is earned,
– the difference between being employed, self employed, on benefits, and retired,
– how money is spent,
– the difference between needs and wants,
– how to create a budget,
– what to do if you don’t have enough money.

The CAP Money for young people course was designed and created by the award-winning charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP), that currently teaches basic money management skills to over 10,000 people a year across the UK through their CAP Money Course.
