SCM Schools // Sunday Roadshow
Whenever we mention RE (Religious Education) to anyone above the age of sixteen who hasn’t had the opportunity to volunteer with us in school, we see the same response again & again – a glazed expression, rolled eyes, or a swift conversation change to another subject; as people recollect their own memories of lessons about faith in Primary school, perhaps tinged with the faint smell of cabbage drifting in from the canteen.
However, our Question of Faith programme delivers a completely different experience from anything else that’s on offer to schools, but we appreciate that it’s difficult to imagine what these days look like without first being part of one yourself.
That’s why, during the 2019/20 academic year, we are offering the opportunity for local churches all across the Southampton region to have a special visit from one of our Schools Teams, in order to give congregations a first-hand snapshot of what our lively and thought-provoking schoolswork sessions looks like!
